Job Description
Prepare and serve high-quality meals and beverages for staff during morning and evening shifts. Responsibilities include preparing daily staff lunch (ready by 2:00 PM for morning shift), marinating and preparing meats for sandos, making tiramisu, cookie dough, and chapati dough as per shift requirements. Ensure K&G sauce is prepared during the evening shift. Maintain high levels of hygiene in the kitchen at all times. Ensure Karak Tea is consistently available across both shifts. Coordinate with the Cash Manager to notify them before any supply depletes. Assign tasks between chefs and stewards to ensure smooth prep flow. Maintain order sheets and update them when ingredients run low. Alert the storekeeper and cash manager early for any restocking needs. Keep prep and cook stations sanitized after every task. Coordinate with stewards for faster turnaround of utensils to maintain efficiency.
Requirements
Prior experience as a Chef in a hospitality or restaurant setting; knowledge of food preparation techniques including marinating, dough preparation, and sauce making; ability to maintain high hygiene standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment; strong coordination skills to manage tasks between team members; familiarity with inventory tracking and restocking procedures; basic understanding of food safety regulations.
