Mid Level Finance Officer

The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring effective financial controls within the organization. Primary duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role involves supporting month-end and year-end financial closing processes, processing supplier invoices, verifying supporting documents, and ensuring timely payments. Additionally, the Finance Officer will prepare regular financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and collaborate with internal departments to resolve finance-related queries. The position requires strong bookkeeping and accounting skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping roles; Experience managing day-to-day finance operations within a growing organization; Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting; Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is an added advantage; Knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and statutory requirements is preferred; Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills; Attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Good communication and stakeholder management skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; High level of integrity and confidentiality.
