Accountant

The Principal Accountant will oversee the financial operations of Kasneb, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Kenyan accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, coordinating audits, and providing strategic financial advice to senior management. The role involves leading a team of accountants, implementing accounting policies, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. Additionally, the position requires liaising with external auditors and government agencies.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA(K), ACCA); minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role; strong knowledge of Kenyan GAAP and tax laws; proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage); excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
