Grant Writer

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a skilled Grant Writer to develop and submit compelling funding proposals to secure resources for critical humanitarian projects in Rwanda. The role involves researching potential donors, crafting tailored proposals that align with donor priorities, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines. The Grant Writer will collaborate closely with program teams to gather necessary data, draft budgets, and coordinate with finance departments to finalize proposals. This position requires a deep understanding of proposal writing techniques, strong research skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic humanitarian environment. Fluency in English and French is highly desirable, as is experience with grant management systems.

Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or resource mobilization within the NGO sector; proven track record of securing funding from international donors (e.g., EU, USAID, DFID, private foundations); strong research and analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication in English and French (Kinyarwanda is an asset); proficiency in proposal development software and donor databases; ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
