Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Primary duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, reconciling bank statements, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. The role involves collaborating with senior management to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Additionally, the Accountant will oversee tax filings, ensure timely payments of liabilities, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. The position requires adherence to strict confidentiality and ethical standards in handling financial data.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is highly preferred; Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles; Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar); Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting standards; Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines; Experience in the manufacturing or agricultural sector is an added advantage.
