Research Assistant - Registered Nurses
Job Description
The Research Assistant - Registered Nurses will play a critical role in supporting community-based research activities. Primary responsibilities include recruiting study participants from local communities, conducting structured field interviews, and collecting biological specimens for research purposes. The role involves providing HIV counselling and health education to participants, maintaining high standards of data quality, and ensuring biosafety and infection prevention protocols are strictly followed. Additional duties include supporting participant follow-up, facilitating clinical referrals, accurately documenting all research activities, and ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines throughout the study process.
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care or related fields; strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in community health education and data collection; proficiency in basic computer applications; ability to work independently in field settings; familiarity with biosafety protocols and infection prevention measures; prior research experience is an added advantage.
