Job Description

The Senior MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) Program Associate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the MEL framework for One Acre Fund's programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This role involves overseeing data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure program effectiveness and impact. The Associate will work closely with program teams to integrate MEL practices into daily operations, ensuring data-driven decision-making. Key responsibilities include developing MEL plans, training field staff on data collection tools, conducting impact assessments, and producing high-quality reports for donors and stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in MEL software, and a deep understanding of agricultural development programs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marine science, geography, environmental science, or a related field; minimum 3 years of experience in spatial data analysis using GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS); proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools; strong understanding of marine ecosystems and conservation principles; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams; experience with remote sensing data is an asset.
