Finance Department Head

Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, strategy formulation, and statutory reporting for Awra Amba Micro Finance Institution S.C. Manage liquidity and capital adequacy to ensure operational stability. Coordinate internal and external financial audits to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure adherence to IFRS 9 and prudential regulatory reporting requirements. Lead the finance department, providing strategic direction and operational oversight. Implement and monitor Asset-Liability Management (ALM) strategies to optimize financial performance. Oversee treasury operations, liquidity management, and tax compliance to support institutional growth and sustainability.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance; 7+ years of experience in banking or microfinance institutions; minimum of 1 year in a finance service (division) head role; strong knowledge of IFRS 9 standards and prudential regulatory reporting; experience in asset-liability management (ALM), treasury, liquidity, and tax management; leadership and team management skills; proficiency in financial software and regulatory compliance frameworks.
