Resource Mobilization Strategy, Tanzania

The volunteer will support a Sacco in Zanzibar, Tanzania, to develop a resource mobilization strategy and train its leaders and members on techniques to attract capital and manage funds. The role involves conducting training sessions, developing training materials, and creating a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy tailored to the Sacco's needs. The volunteer will also meet with potential funding organizations, including financial institutions, government agencies, and donors, to explore funding opportunities and requirements. The assignment includes delivering a PowerPoint presentation summarizing the accomplishments and submitting a final trip report with at least four measurable and achievable recommendations. The volunteer is expected to engage in public outreach activities upon returning to the U.S. to share their experience and the impact of their work.

U.S. citizenship or permanent residency; experience in resource mobilization and capital raising; expertise in financial management and fundraising techniques; strong training and facilitation skills; ability to develop strategic plans and training materials; familiarity with agricultural finance or cooperative sectors is a plus; proficiency in English (additional languages like Swahili are beneficial but not required); willingness to travel to Zanzibar, Tanzania, for the assignment.
