Malawi Trees Execution Coordinator (Fixed-Term)

The Trees Execution Coordinator will lead the execution of agroforestry programs across four districts in Malawi, driving high-quality delivery to support the program’s 2030 goal of serving 1.5 million farmers. This role involves managing field team performance, including recruiting and training staff such as Interns, District Senior Supervisors, Senior Field Officers, and Field Assistants. The coordinator will assist in planning and prioritizing work, using program scorecards and escalation tools to manage performance. Responsibilities include providing actionable feedback, compiling weekly field reports, coordinating team meetings, and designing data collection tools. The role also involves analyzing KPIs to improve low-performing metrics, updating village verification data, conducting seedlings distribution data reconciliation, and tracking seasonal learnings to inform future expansion. The coordinator will split time between headquarters and the field, visiting at least once a week to support District Senior Supervisors. Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Management or related field; 2+ years’ experience implementing agroforestry programs; strong communication and interpersonal skills; report writing skills; problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills; leadership and management skills; computer skills; knowledge of forestry/environmental management practices and community dynamics; eligibility restricted to citizens or permanent residents of Malawi.
