Your primary responsibility will be to identify active and upcoming construction projects, approach decision makers, generate quotations and convert opportunities into construction material orders. This is primarily a field sales position, not an office based sales role. Key Responsibilities: Prospect for new customers throughout Lang'ata, Ngong, Kiserian and Rongai. Visit construction sites daily and identify projects requiring materials. Build relationships with contractors, developers, homeowners, architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, fundis and site managers. Identify clients purchasing steel, sand, ballast, blocks and other construction materials. Obtain Bills of Quantities, material schedules and customer requirements for quotation. Generate qualified sales leads and follow them through to conversion. Prepare and follow up quotations in coordination with the office. Negotiate and close sales within approved company pricing. Develop relationships with repeat customers and contractors. Maintain a database of prospects, active projects and customers within the assigned territory. Submit daily activity and weekly sales reports. Collect market intelligence on material prices, competitors and construction activity. Achieve the company's agreed monthly sales and revenue targets. Minimum Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field. At least 2 years of field sales experience. Previous experience selling construction materials, hardware products, building products, cement, steel or related products is strongly preferred. Good knowledge of Lang'ata, Ngong, Kiserian and Rongai. Ability to prospect independently rather than waiting for leads from the company. Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills. Comfortable visiting multiple construction sites every day. Smartphone proficiency for WhatsApp, Google Maps, reporting and customer communication.
