Finance Intern NGO Job

This Finance Intern role at World Vision involves supporting the finance team in Nairobi, Kenya, with key responsibilities including accounts payable functions, cash/advance settlement management, document management and archiving, budgeting and reporting, and administrative roles. The intern will monitor the EARO invoices mailbox, process invoices, review pending purchase orders quarterly, and prepare monthly creditor reconciliations. They will also liaise with vendors to resolve pending or disputed items, process cash requests according to policy, manage corporate credit card processes, and participate in budgeting for operational costs. Additionally, the intern will support events and facilities management, assist in financial analysis, and participate in finance review meetings. The role offers hands-on learning opportunities in a faith-based, humanitarian organization with a focus on personal integrity and trustworthiness.

A degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent professional qualification in accounting; at least knowledge in CPA or ACCA level 2; good communication and writing skills in English; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimum supervision; computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, and other accounting software; demonstrated capabilities in Christ-centred life and work, personal integrity, trustworthiness, and humanitarian diplomacy.
