Housekeeping Assistant

This is a senior technical role responsible for overseeing food technology programs within the State Department for Agriculture. Key duties include developing and implementing national food safety and quality standards, leading research initiatives to improve food processing techniques, and providing expert advice to government agencies on food technology policies. The officer will supervise a team of food technologists, coordinate with county governments on food safety compliance, and ensure alignment with national agricultural development goals. The role involves frequent field visits to food processing facilities and collaboration with international partners on food security initiatives. The position requires strong leadership skills to drive innovation in food technology and contribute to Kenya's agricultural transformation agenda.

Serving officers in the Agricultural Sector; Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology or related field; Master’s degree in Food Technology or related discipline; Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in food technology, quality assurance, or food processing; Registration with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) or relevant professional body; Demonstrated leadership in food technology programs; Strong analytical and policy formulation skills; Proficiency in computer applications relevant to food technology; Knowledge of Kenyan and international food safety regulations; Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
