Communications Manager

The Communications Manager at Precision Development (PxD) is responsible for leading and coordinating the organization's communications function under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with organizational goals, maintaining consistency and quality across all materials, and managing PxD's external presence, including digital channels, design, and key publications. The position requires close collaboration with the Director of Research, Chief Executive Officer, and field communications staff to ensure accurate storytelling of PxD's impact, partnerships, and results. The role also involves managing external consultants and freelancers, including fundraising, brand, design, copy-editing, and video editing professionals, while defining and tracking success metrics for communications initiatives. Travel may be required periodically for organizational meetings and events.

BA/BSc/HND qualification; 5-10 years of relevant experience; strong background in communications strategy development and execution; experience in managing digital channels, social media, and external publications; proficiency in content creation, design coordination, and brand integrity; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants; experience in fundraising communications and proposal development; familiarity with media relations and audience mapping; strong editorial and writing skills; experience with performance tracking and metrics; ability to manage and direct external consultants and freelancers.
