Job Description

The Programme Risk Management (PMR) team in the Regional Operations section of ESARO provides guidance and oversight to ESAR Country Offices (COs) in implementing the Office of Strategy and Evidence’s Programme Implementation Procedure and associated Handbook. This role offers administrative support to the PMR team and the office, including data collection and analysis to ensure quality and efficiency in managing government and civil society partnerships at CO level, as well as risk management associated with these partnerships. Key responsibilities include supporting HACT assurance planning and execution through data extraction, analysis, and reporting; compiling and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from UNICEF’s systems (eTools, UNPP, InSight, Vision, RAM) to facilitate programme and risk management; reviewing assessments and programme assurance reports to identify high-priority weaknesses; supporting the planning of meetings, webinars, and contributing to PowerPoint presentations; collaborating on capacity development activities related to programme management and HACT execution; preparing monitoring and reporting information on key performance indicators; managing the PMR ECM site, team calendar, and ESARO’s Peer Review Roster; serving as the supply focal point for the Operations Section; and managing the ESARO’s Events Calendar in collaboration with PMDR and the ORD.

Requirements

Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the organization's work; a bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience, or an additional two years with a Master’s degree; at least six years of administrative or clerical work experience is required; project management skills including creating project plans, objectives, and deliverables, tracking resources like time, budget, and team efforts, and identifying and reporting potential risks; collaboration skills including navigating organizational dynamics, adapting behavior to different situations, writing clear, concise, and well-structured reports and documents using appropriate language.
