Director, Global HR Compliance & Operations (Kenya Posting)

Vital Strategies is seeking a Director, Global HR Compliance & Operations to lead the development and implementation of inclusive HR policies, procedures, and best practices across seven global offices and Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements in thirteen countries. This role is responsible for advancing HR operational excellence, strengthening global compliance, and supporting the evolution of people practices to ensure consistent, efficient, and legally compliant HR practices worldwide. The Director will oversee global compensation, benefits, and HR governance programs, provide guidance on global employment actions and employee relations matters, and support workforce expansion into new countries. This position requires deep global HR expertise, strong judgment, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to lead change while balancing organizational standards with local legal, cultural, and operational requirements. The role reports to the Vice President, Global HR, and partners closely with organizational leaders, HR colleagues, legal counsel, country offices, and external partners to strengthen HR infrastructure and optimize systems and processes.

15 years of experience in global HR operations and compliance; deep global HR expertise; strong judgment and cultural sensitivity; experience leading HR teams in diverse jurisdictions; ability to balance organizational standards with local legal, cultural, and operational requirements; experience with Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements; knowledge of international employment laws and regulations; leadership in HR policy development and implementation; experience with global compensation and benefits administration; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
