Job Description
Alem Tefera Yohannes Business Enterprise is hiring a Senior Accountant to lead the accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely tax filings. The Senior Accountant will oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation. This role requires collaboration with auditors, tax authorities, and senior management to address financial inquiries and implement best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is a plus; Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role; In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian accounting standards and tax regulations; Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle); Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities; Fluency in English and Amharic; Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
