Accounts Receivable Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all matters relating to students’ fees and debtors are handled effectively and efficiently and reported in a timely, accurate, and effective manner. This role aims to maximize collections and cash flow while assisting with procedures to recover old or defaulted debt. The Accounts Receivable Manager will lead a team of 4-5 AR Accountants across 8 schools, ensuring a collections rate of 98% or higher. Responsibilities include managing team growth, solving complex issues, and presenting collections updates to Head Office. The role requires accurate and timely invoicing for students, co-curricular activities, and trips, handling parent queries, and providing statements to resolve discrepancies and settle debts. Additionally, the manager will maintain accurate records of students, fee schedules, and billing details across campuses, ensure prompt recording of payments against correct accounts, and investigate unallocated receipts. Regular analysis of accounts for accuracy, generation of aged debtor reports, and follow-up on overdue debts are also key duties. The manager will maintain staff debtors’ records and ensure overdue requisitions/floats are submitted to HR for payroll deduction, as well as ensure proper record filing, compliance with debtor management policies, and support legal actions for bad debts.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting; Full CPA-K or ACCA certification; 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in receivables; Proven knowledge of accounts receivables with attention to detail; Experience in high-volume invoicing; Strong communication skills; Ability to manage the Accounts Receivable Department effectively; Ability to work under tight deadlines.
