Finance Officer
Job Description
The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the Rwanda program, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budget tracking, and compliance with donor regulations. Key responsibilities include processing payments, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and providing financial analysis to support program decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with program teams, donors, and headquarters to ensure financial integrity and transparency. Additionally, the Finance Officer will oversee grant management, including tracking expenditures against approved budgets and ensuring timely reporting to funding agencies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in financial management, preferably in the NGO sector; strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar); excellent analytical and communication skills; experience with donor reporting and grant management; fluency in English and French; knowledge of Rwandan tax and regulatory requirements is a plus.
