Blaster Assistant
Job Description
Assists in receiving, issuing, and recording of explosives brought to or taken out of the Magazine. Undertakes daily housekeeping of Explosive Store, Outside Areas, and Delivery/Dispatch Areas to ensure a clean, tidy, and safe environment. Ensures that explosives are packed in a manner that prevents danger to people, equipment, and allows for easy stock counting. Assists in supervising the preparation of explosives for dispatching to various mining sections. Controls the issuance of explosives to various sites. Reports any issues related to the job to the Chief Blaster Officer. Maintains vigilance as the role is high-risk and requires constant attention to safety protocols.
Requirements
High motivation and commitment; ability to work in high-risk environments; attention to safety protocols; basic knowledge of explosive handling and storage procedures; ability to maintain clean and organized work areas; strong communication skills for reporting issues to supervisors.
