Somali / Arabic / Tarbiya Teachers

New Hope International Academy is seeking qualified, passionate, and dedicated teachers to deliver high-quality lessons in Somali, Arabic, and Tarbiya subjects. The role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing weekly lesson plans, classwork, homework, and assessments, and teaching reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and comprehension skills. Teachers are expected to promote Islamic manners, discipline, honesty, and respect while using activity-based teaching methods such as visuals, storytelling, games, and practical learning. The position requires maintaining a safe, clean, positive, and organized classroom environment, monitoring student progress, and providing regular reports to school leadership and parents. Additionally, teachers will participate in assemblies, school programs, meetings, and events, and collaborate with colleagues to improve learning standards. The role is based on a Montessori-inspired approach combined with an international curriculum and activity-based learning methods, focusing on academic excellence, character building, Islamic values, confidence, leadership, and life skills.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field preferred; strong Somali and Arabic language proficiency; knowledge of Tarbiya / Islamic Studies; previous teaching experience preferred; good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to plan engaging and structured lessons; good classroom management ability; understanding of child safeguarding and welfare; professional and respectful conduct at all times; strong commitment to school values and Islamic character; patient, caring, and supportive with children; strong classroom leadership and discipline skills; positive attitude and teamwork spirit; organized, punctual, and dependable; passion for teaching and child development.
