HIV/AIDS Counselor
Job Description
Provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS counseling services to clients, including pre- and post-test counseling, adherence support, and psychosocial support. Conduct community outreach to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, and treatment services. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and ensure confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with healthcare providers to link clients to appropriate care and support services. Participate in training and capacity-building activities to enhance counseling skills and knowledge of HIV/AIDS-related issues.
Requirements
Diploma in counseling, social work, nursing, or a related field; minimum of 2 years of experience in HIV/AIDS counseling or a related field; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team and independently; proficiency in Kinyarwanda and English; knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care; certification in HIV/AIDS counseling is an added advantage.
