Cook/Cleaner

The Cook/Cleaner is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained office/Guest House environment, as well as preparing meals and refreshments as required. The role supports the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office/Guest House by maintaining hygiene standards and providing basic hospitality services. Cleaner duties include replenishing washroom supplies, refilling and maintaining water dispensers, collecting used service items, emptying dustbins daily, cleaning the compound, windows, and surfaces, and disposing of waste hygienically. Cook duties involve cleaning food preparation areas, preparing meals, tea, coffee, soft drinks, or juices for staff, guests, and guesthouse residents, ensuring food is prepared and served hygienically, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, supporting weekly shopping for kitchen supplies, and safely operating kitchen appliances. The role requires adherence to hygiene standards and timely service delivery.

Basic literacy skills (reading and writing); At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position; Ability to communicate in both English and Somali; Ability to read and understand cleaning product directions; Completion of Secondary School
