Plant Engineer - GCC Base Metals

Our client is seeking a qualified GCC Plant Engineer with experience in metallurgical plant maintenance to join their team at their site in the Northern Cape, South Africa. This role involves managing the asset management system in accordance with applicable engineering standards, legislative requirements, and client specifications. The Plant Engineer will lead task allocation and operational/technical integration to meet client needs, service objectives, and optimize facility availability. Responsibilities include ensuring full compliance with legal, safety, and engineering standards while providing technical support to minimize risks. The engineer will develop, implement, and optimize maintenance strategies through planning, performance analysis, and continuous improvement. They will plan and coordinate major shutdowns, resources, and external partnerships to support operational efficiency. Additionally, the role involves overseeing end-to-end project execution, including technical documentation, procurement, design review, construction, and commissioning. Budget management and financial planning are critical to ensure cost control and alignment with organizational goals. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to integrate technologies and ensure adherence to quality standards. The Plant Engineer will set performance objectives and drive team development, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Diplôme en génie mécanique ou électrique; Certificat gouvernemental de compétence (GCC) Mines et Travaux; 5 ans d'expérience en tant qu'ingénieur désigné dans des usines de traitement de métaux de base ou similaires; Inscription professionnelle avantageuse; Maîtrise des aspects juridiques; Expérience en gestion des risques techniques; Expérience en gestion d'actifs et de projets; Solides compétences en leadership et en gestion des personnes; Expérience en matière de budgétisation et de contrôle des coûts; Maîtrise des outils informatiques, notamment MS Office; Permis de conduire valide; Contrat permanent; Déménagement requis.
