Enumerator Lead and Hotline Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Senior Program Coordinator (Community Stabilization) and direct supervision of the Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant, the incumbent will lead all evaluation exercises requiring the hiring and deployment of enumerators. Responsibilities include organizing project monitoring plans and operational tools such as checklists, questionnaires, interviews, and survey forms with clear roles, timelines, and targets. The role involves leading data collection through household surveys, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions in a timely manner, including translating data collection tools from English to Somali. The position requires participation in strengthening existing M&E systems, maintaining records of M&E documents in hard and soft copies, and organizing them for SharePoint upload. Additional duties include establishing systems for assessing the validity of monitoring and evaluation data, conducting periodic field monitoring visits, managing a hotline number to respond to beneficiary complaints, and documenting success stories and lessons learned. The role also involves close follow-up with complaints, response, and feedback mechanisms, ensuring coordination with program teams for effective implementation.
Requirements
5 years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning; experience producing M&E reports including baselines, end-lines, FGD reports, and post-intervention monitoring; experience working for an international NGO or UN agency; experience with international humanitarian organizations in a multicultural setting; experience supervising a team and coordinating with stakeholders for M&E activities; knowledge of working in conflict/volatile contexts on community stabilization in Somalia; knowledge of implementing M&E activities for community stabilization programming; excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills; proficiency in Kobo Collect for M&E data collection and MS Office tools; fluency in English and Somali (oral and written); working knowledge of Arabic is desired.
