TSFP Nurse

The Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) is seeking a qualified Nurse to join their team in Kismaayo. The primary responsibilities of this position include conducting health screenings of children to detect conditions of acute malnutrition, performing daily nursing tasks for children with moderate acute malnutrition (MAM), and providing health and nutrition education to mothers on hygiene, cleanliness, and waste disposal. The role also involves conducting home visits, following up on discharged patients, evaluating nutrition outcomes for MAM cases, and preparing individualized reports. Additionally, the Nurse will be responsible for raising requisitions for drugs and supplies, compiling data on SFP cases, and participating in the development and evaluation of the OPD health program. The position requires active involvement in emergency preparedness, rapid assessments, and emergency responses. The Nurse will also identify capacity-building needs for auxiliary and volunteer nursing teams and ensure they are properly trained and supported.

Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Public Health or Nutrition; At least 3 years of experience in similar or related post (CMAM IMAM); Excellent proficiency in English (writing and speaking); Familiarity with the local context and ability to observe; High commitment and ability to work under pressure; Sharp problem-solving skills and ethical behavior.
