Tanzania Market Access Lead (Fixed-Term)

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of One Acre Fund Tanzania's commercial strategy. The Market Access Lead will define and execute the organization's market access strategy and portfolio, prioritizing value chains such as cashew and avocado. Responsibilities include developing a multi-year strategic roadmap, assessing commercial viability of value chains, designing commercially sound models for processing and aggregation, managing strategic commercial partnerships, and ensuring alignment between field operations and commercial requirements. The role requires translating country-level goals into a focused portfolio that balances growth with risk management, while serving as the primary liaison for buyers, government stakeholders, and donors. This position demands high-level strategic thinking combined with operational depth to guide execution and ensure all moving parts connect effectively.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, economics, agribusiness, agriculture, supply chain, or a related field; at least 5 years of experience in agribusiness, market access, value chain development, or commercial agriculture including leading teams and driving strategy through to execution; strong commercial instincts and numerical fluency; ability to operate at multiple levels including setting multi-year strategy, managing teams, and engaging in operational details; practical understanding of value chains from farmer aggregation and quality compliance through to processing, buyers, and export dynamics; experience negotiating and managing external partners such as processors, exporters, buyers, or service providers; experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with Supply Chain, Finance, and Government Relations departments.
