The Procurement Services Manager will oversee all procurement activities for UNICEF Ethiopia, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in line with UNICEF policies and procedures. The role involves managing procurement teams, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with UNICEF’s ethical and quality standards. Key responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, monitoring market trends, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices. The manager will also lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts to ensure continuity of supply chains, particularly in emergency and humanitarian contexts. Collaboration with global procurement teams and adherence to UN procurement frameworks are essential components of this role.

Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in procurement, supply chain management, or logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role; Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is desirable; Experience working in the UN system or international organizations is highly preferred; Strong knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices; Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills; Proficiency in procurement software and tools; Fluency in English (written and oral) is mandatory; Knowledge of Amharic or other local languages is an asset.
