Administration Officer (Logistics)

Job Description

Lead impactful projects delivering essential transactional services, ensuring excellence in logistics and procurement within a dynamic global framework. Under the guidance of the Support Services Manager, the Logistics Officer is responsible for effective delivery of procurement services, compliance with UNOPS procurement rules, risk management, and obtaining best value for money. Key responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting procurement regulations, participating in evaluation and award processes, managing contract finalization and issuance, overseeing logistics and contract management, developing supplier rosters, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring proper documentation of procurement and logistics transactions. The role involves regular communication with technical experts, partners, and the UNOPS Procurement Team to achieve project objectives. Additionally, the officer provides in-depth analysis and judgment in implementing logistics and procurement activities, balancing speed of delivery with adherence to integrity, risk management, and audit readiness. The position requires fluency in either English or French, with an intermediate level in the other language.

Requirements

Fluency in either English or French with an intermediate level in the other language; relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics and asset management, procurement, or related fields in national or international public or corporate organizations; experience in procurement processes including evaluation, review, award, contract finalization, logistics, and contract management; ability to analyze and interpret financial rules, procurement procedures, and logistics policies; experience in supplier performance monitoring and contract compliance certification; skills in drafting Long Term Agreements (LTAs) and service contracts; experience in organizing training and learning initiatives on logistics and procurement topics; strong analytical and decision-making skills; commitment to ethical standards and collaborative, client-focused approach.
