Finance Officer
Job Description
The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with WFP financial policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include processing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and providing financial support to field offices in Juba, Aweil, and Malakal. The role involves close collaboration with program teams to ensure efficient resource allocation and financial accountability. The officer will also assist in budget monitoring, financial analysis, and internal audits to support WFP's humanitarian and development programs in South Sudan.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Professional qualification in Accounting (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is desirable; Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting roles; Experience with financial management systems and ERP software; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Arabic, Dinka, Nuer) is an asset.
