Appraisal Officer
Job Description
The Appraisal Officer at Kray Microfinance is responsible for assessing assets and securities to determine their market value through professional valuation techniques. This role plays a critical part in supporting loan approval decisions by providing accurate and timely appraisals of collateral. The officer will conduct on-site visits to evaluate properties, vehicles, or other assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. They will also maintain detailed records of appraisals, prepare valuation reports, and liaise with loan officers to facilitate smooth loan processing. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced microfinance environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; Professional certification in valuation (e.g., CVA, ASA) is an added advantage; Minimum of 3 years of experience in asset appraisal, financial analysis, or a related field; Strong analytical and numerical skills; Proficiency in valuation software and Microsoft Office Suite; Excellent communication and report-writing skills; Knowledge of Ugandan financial regulations and market conditions; Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
