The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Tanzania Public Service College, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing budgets, and implementing accounting policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, conducting internal audits, managing payroll, and providing financial advice to senior management. The role requires close collaboration with the finance team, adherence to government accounting standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will supervise junior accounting staff, review financial transactions, and implement internal controls to safeguard institutional assets.

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree in Education or Educational Management is an added advantage; Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution; At least 5 years in a leadership or administrative role; Strong leadership and management skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency in educational planning and policy development; Knowledge of Tanzanian education system; Computer literacy; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
