Financial Director - Group Shared Services Reporting (IFRS)

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Director to lead the Group Shared Services Reporting function for a prominent organization based in Gaborone, Botswana. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and managing the preparation of consolidated financial statements. This role involves leading a team of finance professionals, implementing robust financial controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. The Financial Director will play a critical role in driving financial transparency, accuracy, and efficiency across the group, while also ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to maintain high standards of financial governance and compliance.

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, reporting, and IFRS compliance; proven leadership experience in a Group Shared Services environment; strong technical expertise in IFRS and financial reporting standards; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle); excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; familiarity with Botswana’s regulatory and business environment is advantageous.
