Job Description
The Senior Technical Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficient setup and deployment of business applications at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to meet end-user needs and support the organization's mission. The role focuses on financial, supply chain, and project management domains, collaborating closely with IT colleagues, business partners, and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Key responsibilities include leading the design and delivery of AI-powered solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), such as Copilot, agentic automation, and intelligent workflows. The analyst will architect and implement integrations between D365 F&O and Azure AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI Service, AI Builder) to enable intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, and AI-assisted decision-making. Additionally, the role involves configuring Copilot Studio and Power Automate to build autonomous agents and AI-driven workflows, evaluating emerging AI technologies, and designing customizations and extensions in D365 F&O. The position also requires providing Level 3 support for enterprise systems, conducting unit testing, peer code reviews, and maintaining technical documentation. The analyst will lead the administration and continuous improvement of enterprise business systems across departments, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements. Strong communication skills, cross-functional collaboration, and domain expertise in AI and enterprise systems are essential.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field; 5+ years of hands-on experience developing with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations; strong proficiency in X++ programming language; proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and detailing cross-functional business, functional, and technical requirements; experience with enterprise system testing, including case development and execution; knowledge of D365 F&O architecture and data models; proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL for database operations; experience with SSRS, Power BI, or other reporting tools; proficiency in system administration, support, and change management in a global or multi-site environment; superb communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams; AI & Emerging Technology Skills: experience implementing and extending Copilot and AI agent capabilities within D365 F&O, including configuring autonomous workflows and understanding the Model Context Protocol (MCP); knowledge of Azure AI services integration with D365 F&O (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services); experience with AI-driven process automation tools such as AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and intelligent document processing; familiarity with large language model (LLM) concepts, including prompt engineering techniques; understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns; awareness of responsible AI principles, including data privacy.
