Business Improvement Specialist

This role serves as a Regional Business Services Partner for a long-standing client, responsible for coordinating and managing incident resolution for Global Business Services (GBS) across Africa. The position ensures adherence to international standards, governance, and compliance while providing efficient, rapid, and reliable support to African operations. Key responsibilities include real-time escalation and coordination of service issues between African operations and global business services, ensuring compliance with agreed service levels and global process standards. The role involves assessing regional service demand, recommending optimal service deployment models, and aligning local complexities with enterprise-wide efficiency and scalability. Additionally, the position requires conducting current-state process reviews, evaluating regulatory requirements, and mapping stakeholder engagement to facilitate regional issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also supports business services aspects during portfolio changes and asset transitions in Africa, representing the region in corporate forums to highlight performance, escalations, and regional challenges.

Strong business acumen balancing compliance, efficiency, and customer value; analytical decision-making; ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority; proven expertise in shared services (GBS) and governance; international experience with intercultural awareness (focus on Africa); ERP system experience with change management and resistance handling; degree in Business or related field; professional certifications in global business services/shared services are desirable; willingness to travel as needed.
