ICM Caseworker

The Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker will provide strengths-based, client-centered case management to vulnerable refugee populations, including single-headed households, survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, older refugees, unaccompanied youth, individuals with mental health or physical disabilities, and secondary migrants. The role involves developing individualized SMART Self-sufficiency plans, conducting intake assessments, evaluating client progress every six months, and assisting clients in navigating healthcare and social service systems. Additional responsibilities include community outreach, maintaining provider networks, providing extended orientation on critical topics (e.g., women’s health, transportation, healthcare navigation), responding to client crises, and managing financial assistance requests. The position requires maintaining up-to-date documentation in IRC’s Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database, attending relevant trainings, and potentially training volunteers or interns. Work involves a combination of office, remote, and field-based activities within the service delivery area, with occasional weekend or evening work required.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field preferred; 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations required; strong relationship building and networking skills; effective communication in a multi-cultural environment; self-starter with problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy; fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dari/Pashto preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
