Senior Area Manager
Job Description
As a Senior Area Manager at Complex Food Agro Limited, you will serve as the primary representative of the ECORIC brand in Kenya’s most productive agricultural zones, including Lake Naivasha, Mt. Kenya region (Timau, Nanyuki), Nakuru, Kericho, Trans Nzoia, and the Kiambu/Thika corridor. This role is not merely about selling a product but providing a high-tech sustainable solution to leading flower exporters and tea estates. You will be responsible for strategic market penetration, key account management, and building high-level relationships with Farm Managers and Production Directors of Tier-1 estates. The position requires executing high-impact product demonstrations and field trials to prove the efficacy of biofungicides against key pathogens, as well as designing and leading regional field days, exhibitions, and technical seminars to position ECORIC as a market leader in sustainable farming. Additionally, you will provide real-time market feedback to the international team to refine pricing and product positioning. This role demands a strategic 'Hunter' mindset with deep technical expertise in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), biofungicides, crop protection, and plant nutrition, along with a strong understanding of Global G.A.P. and export standards. Extensive regional travel is required, and the role operates under a full-time hybrid model with a reporting line to an international team.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 7+ years of proven sales success in the Kenyan agrochemical sector (specifically Flowers/Tea). Network: A pre-established, active database of large-scale growers and distributors in the target regions. Technical Expertise: Strong mastery of Biofungicides, Crop Protection (CP), and Plant Nutrition. Knowledge of Global G.A.P. and export standards is mandatory. Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license, car and a willingness for extensive regional travel. Education: Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or Agribusiness (Post-graduate levels preferred). Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation power and the ability to work autonomously with an international reporting line.
