Job Description
This is a 3-month internship opportunity (renewable to 6 months) designed for students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in finance and accounting. The role involves assisting with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, record-keeping, and preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. The intern will conduct reconciliations of accounts (e.g., bank and supplier statements), maintain accurate accounting records, and support in preparing tax returns while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the finance team to analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement, participating in internal audits, and performing any other duties assigned by the finance manager. This role offers hands-on exposure to core finance functions and is ideal for those looking to build foundational skills in a professional setting.
Requirements
Ongoing student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or recent graduate with no prior experience. Professional certification (CPA or ACCA) is an added advantage. Strong academic record, preferably a B+ or higher in high school. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
