Tanzania Market Access Coordinator (Fixed-Term)

Seeking an exceptional Regional Program Coordinator with at least 2 years of experience to lead & execute farmer-facing program activities at the regional level. The role involves coordinating farmer-facing market access activities in assigned areas, working directly with farmers, farmer groups, and cooperatives to strengthen market participation and commercial readiness. Responsibilities include identifying field-level barriers to market access, supporting practical solutions, and aggregating, ensuring quality control, and post-harvest handling to improve market readiness. The coordinator will facilitate farmer training on quality standards, post-harvest practices, collective marketing, and basic business skills, with a focus on inclusion of youth, women, and underserved farmers. Additional duties include coordinating linkages between farmers and buyers, processors, or off-takers, aligning farmer supply with market requirements, and providing ad hoc support to processing and value addition activities. The role requires tracking implementation progress, key results, and field insights, and sharing updates with the line manager. Cross-functional coordination with teams such as Extension, Logistics, MEL, Procurement, and BizOps is essential. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, International Development, Social Sciences, or a closely related field; Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in market access, agricultural value chains, or agribusiness; Hands-on experience working directly with smallholder farmers, farmer groups, or cooperatives (essential); Eligibility restricted to citizens or permanent residents of Tanzania.
