Project Manager Atlas Logistique – Darfur Response – Sudan
Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager supports the Atlas Logistique teams in operational planning, implementation, and monitoring of HI/AL’s operational strategy in Darfur, Sudan. The role focuses on storage, transportation, and capacity-building activities, ensuring optimal quality, effectiveness, and impact of implemented projects. Key responsibilities include activity planning, budget forecasting and follow-up, expenditure management, data collection and reporting, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with technical and operational frameworks. The position also involves managing expenditures, ensuring adherence to internal policies (PSEAH, cross-cutting approaches), and fostering relationships with partner organizations. The role requires collaboration with logistics, HR, finance, and technical departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international relations, or related field; minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in logistics, project management, or humanitarian operations; experience in emergency response and capacity-building activities; strong budget management and financial tracking skills; proficiency in project planning tools and data management systems; familiarity with humanitarian standards (PSEAH, Sphere, etc.); ability to work in high-pressure environments; fluency in English (French and Arabic are strong assets); experience in Sudan or Darfur region is highly desirable.
