Job Description
WaterAid is seeking five Baseline Data Enumerators to support data collection efforts for upcoming projects in Ethiopia. The role involves conducting household surveys, collecting baseline data on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions, and ensuring accurate data entry and validation. Enumerators will work closely with local communities, project teams, and supervisors to gather critical information that will inform program design and implementation. The position requires fieldwork in rural and urban areas, often in challenging conditions, and adherence to ethical data collection practices. Successful candidates will contribute to WaterAid’s mission of ensuring clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene for everyone, everywhere.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, social sciences, environmental science, or a related field; prior experience in data collection, survey implementation, or field research; proficiency in local languages (Amharic preferred) and English; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams; familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., ODK, KoboToolbox) is an advantage; willingness to travel to remote areas; valid driver’s license (if applicable).
