Landscape Finance Intern
Job Description
The Landscape Finance Intern will support the Landscape Coordinator (Technical) and the Resource Acquisition and Strategic Partnerships Management Manager in implementing WWF's Youth Engagement Programme. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the development and management of landscape finance initiatives, conducting research on sustainable financing mechanisms, and supporting the coordination of partnerships with local and international stakeholders. The intern will contribute to drafting reports, analyzing financial data, and preparing presentations to communicate findings. Additionally, the role involves participating in field visits to project sites in Kasese, engaging with local communities, and documenting best practices for conservation finance. The intern will work in a dynamic environment focused on youth-led conservation and community development.
Requirements
Only Ugandan nationals are eligible; Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Environmental Science, Economics, or related disciplines); Strong analytical and research skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team; Prior experience in finance, conservation, or related fields is an advantage; Fluency in English (additional local languages are beneficial); Must be aged between 18ā30 years.
