Accountant Disbursement M/F Job

An exciting career opportunity has risen in the Airfreight Imports Department based in Nairobi, reporting to the Operations Controller – Kenya. The successful applicant will be responsible for analyzing accounting balances of files in disbursement control and liaising with the COMs and/or the Financial Disbursement Controller to take corrective action in case of under recovery or over recovery on disbursement. The role involves preparing necessary vouchers for reallocation of costs mis-posted in the disbursement account to the correct control accounts upon approval by the ODC in liaison with Operations Supervisors. Additionally, the position requires preparing and presenting weekly reports on the progress made for files analyzed, with the goal of classifying files whose costs have been correctly recovered from clients. The role also includes highlighting active files in disbursement control and liaising with the COMs for archiving processes on files aged over three months, as well as notifying the COMs of files that need prompt recovery of monies disbursed on behalf of clients. This role is based in Nairobi and operates within a dynamic airfreight imports environment.

Degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience in disbursement or treasury functions. Proficiency in accounting software and strong attention to detail.
