• THE COLLEGE PRINCIPAL POSITION The key responsibilities of the College Principal shall include: • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the College. • Oversee the academic, administrative, and financial operations of the College. • Lead and support the development and implementation of quality teaching and learning programmes. • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, students, alumni, and the wider community. • Demonstrate a high sense of diligence, strong leadership qualities, sound organisational skills, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. • Mobilise and attract grants, partnerships, and funding to support research, innovation, and institutional development activities. • Uphold and promote the College’s reputation, values, and standards of excellence in education. Qualification Required & Experience The candidate must: • Hold a rank not below that of Associate Professor in a College of Education, University, or Analogous Institution. • Be a distinguished scholar and a master teacher. • Possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant area of specialisation. • Have at least ten (10) years of progressive experience in teaching and/or research, including a minimum of five (5) years in a senior management or leadership position. • Demonstrate proven leadership and managerial capabilities and possess the ability to work effectively in teams. • Inspire confidence and provide effective leadership, direction, and motivation to staff and other stakeholders. • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to manage and resolve crises effectively.
