Field Project Coordinator
Job Description
The Field Project Coordinator will oversee the implementation of literacy and adult basic education programs in targeted communities. Primary responsibilities include coordinating field activities, managing local staff, and ensuring program delivery aligns with LABE's strategic objectives. The role involves liaising with community leaders, government agencies, and partner organizations to facilitate program access and participation. Key deliverables include monitoring program progress, reporting on impact metrics, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The coordinator will work in diverse field environments, often in rural areas, and may require travel to project sites. This position plays a critical role in expanding educational opportunities for underserved populations and contributing to LABE's mission of promoting lifelong learning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in education or NGO sectors; demonstrated experience in community mobilization and stakeholder engagement; strong written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one local language (e.g., Luganda, Swahili); proficiency in project management tools and reporting; ability to work in challenging field conditions; valid driver’s license preferred; experience with donor-funded projects is an advantage.
