Software Developer/Analyst

The Software Developer-Analyst is a hybrid position responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting IRC’s global technology tools and platforms for data organization and analysis. This role focuses on enhancing measurement technology products such as CommCare, Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft SQL Server Azure-based data warehouse. The position involves collaborating with CRRD MEAL and Program teams to gather requirements, developing and improving Power Platform applications, and designing data quality processes. Responsibilities include creating technical documentation, ensuring adherence to data security policies, providing technology training to business teams, and offering Tier-2 and Tier-3 support for measurement technology products. The role also involves designing and developing DataMarts, multi-dimensional cubes, and ad-hoc persistent tables to facilitate analysis and dashboard development. Additionally, the Software Developer-Analyst will support systems analysis for data engineering and architecture teams, converting business requirements into technology deliverables.

At least five years of experience in technology domain developing and rolling out data platforms for programs; at least three years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting CommCare applications and Microsoft Power BI dashboards for large and complex programs; experience in public sector programming and M&E-specific technology tools; ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing; strong analytic curiosity and innovative problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional team; experience establishing and maintaining working relationships across departments and levels; preferred skills include developing, customizing, automating, and managing ETLs and data integration tools (e.g., Azure Integration Services, Data Factory, SQL Server Integration Services); advanced level experience with MS Excel including macros and consolidating data from multiple spreadsheets; experience working with enterprise-grade systems in multiple departments and countries.
