Senior Internal Auditor

The Senior Internal Auditor at Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) is responsible for managing the internal audit plan and developing audit programs to ensure efficiency in audit execution. This role involves conducting risk assessments to identify priority areas for the Institute, performing compliance audits to ensure adherence to legal and statutory requirements, and documenting audit work papers/tests for evidence and reference. The Senior Internal Auditor will also be responsible for proper utilization of resources, providing assurance on their optimal use, and preparing detailed audit reports with recommendations to improve internal controls. Additionally, the role includes following up on audit findings and recommendations, assisting in audits for the Management University of Africa (MUA), and conducting investigations and special projects as needed.

Minimum of Five (5) years’ working experience in the same role; Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution; Be a CPA finalist and a registered Member of ICPAK; Certified Information System Auditor (CISA); Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); Familiarity with International Practices Professional Framework (IPPF); Proficiency in Audit Reporting, Financial Management, Management Accounting, Value for Money Assessment, Corporate Governance, Risk-based Audit, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
