Finance Intern

This internship role involves supporting the finance team at World Vision Kenya with accounts payable functions, including monitoring the EARO invoices mailbox, processing invoices, and reviewing pending purchase orders quarterly. The intern will prepare monthly creditor reconciliations, liaise with vendors to resolve pending or disputed items, and assist in cash/advance settlement management by processing cash requests according to policy and coordinating with the onsite bank teller. Additional responsibilities include managing corporate credit card processes, performing general ledger reconciliations, and handling inter-office payment settlements. The role also involves document management and archiving, budgeting for operational costs, participating in financial analysis tasks, and supporting administrative roles such as events and facilities management. The intern will attend finance review meetings and complete other learning duties as assigned by the supervisor.

A degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent professional qualification in accounting; at least CPA or ACCA level 2 knowledge; good communication and writing skills in English; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with minimum supervision; computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and other accounting software; Christ-centred life and work, personal integrity, trustworthiness, and humanitarian diplomacy.
