• Operate tractors and other farm machinery safely and efficiently for land preparation, planting, spraying, ploughing, harrowing, transportation, and other assigned field operations. • Perform routine maintenance, daily inspections, and basic repairs and calibration on tractors, implements, and related equipment. • Identify and report mechanical faults and undertake minor repairs where appropriate. • Ensure all equipment is clean and kept in good working condition. • Drive institutional vehicles where authorized and required. • Maintain accurate work logs, fuel records, and maintenance records. • Follow safety procedures, occupational safety and health standards, and farm operating guidelines. • Assist with other general farm duties and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time. • Possess a minimum of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a D+ (Plus) or its equivalent. • Possess a valid Class G (or G12) driving license for tractor operation, and a valid • Class B2 or Class B/C driving license (or equivalent) for standard motor vehicles. • Have at least five (5) years’ relevant experience operating farm tractors and agricultural machinery. • Demonstrate a fair knowledge of motor vehicle/tractor mechanics and basic maintenance. • Possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct. • Be physically fit and capable of working flexible hours during peak seasons and under varying weather conditions.
