IT Applications Support Officer

The IT Applications Support Officer will provide first-level technical support and maintenance for all business applications within Sanlam Life Insurance Uganda Limited. This role involves troubleshooting application issues, coordinating with software vendors for technical support, and ensuring minimal downtime for critical business systems. The officer will assist end-users with application-related queries, perform system updates, and document support requests in the IT service management system. Additionally, the role requires collaborating with the IT team to implement new software solutions, conduct user training sessions, and ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the company's digital transformation initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; At least 2 years of experience in IT support or applications support; Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise applications; Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira); Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Familiarity with insurance or financial services industry is an advantage.
